Alongside other contemporary musicians, singer and composer Dani Gurgel is all about modern Brazilian music. She is capable of weaving together influences from different parts of the world and merging them using the language of jazz. The influences of instrumentalist singers appear frequently throughout her music, from the jazz finesse of Esperanza Spalding to the sweet Brazilian tones of Mônica Salmaso.
